2nd edition of Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz 2018-2019
As part of the initiative of Government of India to promote cultural ties with young Indian diaspora, Ministry of External is organizing the 2nd edition of Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz (BKJQ) in 2018-2019. The entire quiz will be held in 4 rounds. Participation of 1,00,000 overseas Indian youth from all across globe is expected.
2. The first round of the quiz will be held online from July 19-21, 2018. The quiz will consist of 30 questions to be answered in 25 minutes. The registration for quiz can be done directly by the interested contestants on www.bharatkojaniye.in, the link has guidelines, rules, quiz structure, model test and FAQs of BKJQ.
3. The quiz will be held in two categories – one category for non-resident Indians (NRIs) and another category for Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs). Winners of the first round in each category i.e. PIO and NRI respectively will be awarded medals by Consulate General of India.
4. The top three winners of each category i.e. PIO and NRI in the first round quiz will enter the second round, which will be conducted online by the Ministry of External Affairs in August 2018. The top 10 candidates from each category of NRI and PIO from 2nd round of quiz will be invited to India for a 15 day Bharat Ko Janiye Yatra including a visit to Lakshadeep Union Territory and to participate in the 3rd round. Government of India will bear international airfare and all expenses including boarding and lodging (details are available in website).
(i) The registration in BKJQ portal is mandatory to participate in the contest.
(ii) The contestants should be in age group of 15-35 years as on 1 January 2019.
(iii) Persons of Indian Origin would be allowed to participate in the first round without showing proof of OCI/PIO document, however, they may be required to show the documents to participate in later rounds.
